When you are done with the walkabouts and the heat .. you can stroll back along to the Esplanade and the Marina Square Shopping Mall (much less hectic and off the tourist path a little) for a nice Iced Teh C at one of the many more modern coffee shops (kopi tiam – wiki to know the terms!) and then the City Link Mall, where you can get very good kaiten sushi starting from $1.50 per plate at Sushi Express.
The other recommendation is the Night Safari . I am not a big fan of animals not in the wild, but they have done a really good job here, and it is a nice outing in the evening.
There are many other touristy attractions that you can go to and buy tickets for. But here are my suggestions for just getting to know Singapore a little better and mix more with the locals: a visit to Mustafa Department Store in Little India. This is open 24hours a day. do not go on a peak hour shopping period or weekend. But if you can’t find it at Mustafa at a good price you will not find it anywhere else in Singapore. At least once a month shopping trip for me. Finally I would suggest Vivo City Mall and a quick visit to Sentosa Island. A lot of attractions again here, but the one which was worth a visit was the S.E.A Aquarium at Resorts World.
That’s it folks .. and thank you Singapore, I look forward coming back again in the future.
